We started Croydon Surveyors because we saw a gap in the market for a truly local, independent surveying practice that actually cares about its clients — not just its caseload.
Croydon is a fascinating place to work as a surveyor. The housing stock is incredibly diverse: you've got beautiful Edwardian villas in Purley, post-war semis in Addiscombe, 1960s tower blocks near the town centre and brand-new apartments shooting up around East Croydon station. Each type of property brings its own quirks, risks and opportunities — and understanding them takes years of hands-on experience.
Our firm brings together a small, highly skilled team of RICS, CIOB and RPSA accredited surveyors who between them have inspected hundreds of properties right across the borough. We're not a national chain with a call centre in another city. We're your neighbours, and we take pride in every survey report we produce.
Our mission is simple: help you make the best possible property decisions, backed by thorough, honest and clearly written professional advice.
We tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. A property survey is only valuable if it's honest. Our reports reflect what we actually find — no more, no less.
Surveying jargon helps nobody. We write our reports and give our advice in clear, accessible language so that you — not just lawyers and solicitors — can understand your property's condition.
We know Croydon's property market intimately. From Victorian terrace issues common in Thornton Heath to specific ground conditions affecting parts of South Croydon, our local knowledge is an advantage for every client.
We know property transactions are time-sensitive. We turn up on time, carry out a thorough inspection and deliver your report within our agreed timeframe — every time.
You're buying what is likely the biggest asset of your life. We treat every client with the care and attention that warrants — including a personal debrief call after every survey report.
All our surveyors are bound by the RICS Rules of Conduct. We carry comprehensive professional indemnity insurance, so you are protected at every stage of the process.
Our small but highly experienced team is the heart of our practice. Get to know the people who will be carrying out your survey.
